Meet Omalolu

Omalolu "OJ" Fiki is a first-generation Nigerian-American multidisciplinary artist whose work spans theater, film, television, stand-up, voiceover and education. A classically trained actor with an MFA from UC San Diego, she creates original work that explores identity, belonging, and transformation through comedy, theater, and storytelling.

Her work blends the absurd and the intimate, using comedy to explore identity, belonging, grief, reinvention, and what it means to be seen. Screen credits include the lead role of Jasmin in the independent feature film The Sky's Forest (available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime). Voice credits include The Matriarch in Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, PlayStation's Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Campaign and over 200 regional and national commercial spots for brands including American Express, CarMax, Clorox, Walmart, Visa, and MedStar Health.

As a creator, Omalolu develops original projects that wrestle with identity, belonging and transformation, including her solo theatrical work Killing Janet, which premiered at the NYC Fringe Festival and has since been invited to United Solo Festival and Gotham Storytelling Festival. She was also commissioned by Milwaukee Rep to create ___Told Me * The Talk.

As a stand-up comedian, OJ has performed at venues including The Comedy Store (Main Room), The Ice House, Comedy in Harlem, The Stand and was featured in the Black Women in Comedy Laff Festival and nominated for Laugh After Dark Comedy Festival.

As an educator, she teaches voiceover through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and maintains a private coaching practice with more than 470 verified five-star reviews.
